Hey Jacques, I was on the Mac during the same time you were. I remember all those things too.

I was an EM on board from 75-77. I have great memories during that time, (cleaning up the broken light bulbs in the wardroom after firing the midship gun). Was on board during the NATO cruise when we got our blue nose, then had to paint over it, Gitmo, Mardi Gras in Mobile, then going into drydock in Boston. Had some really good times, I still have to preach to my kids about staying away from the tatoo parlors though!

I came aboard in GTMO in April of '69. I was awaiting the start of Nuke School in Bainbridge. I was an ETR3 in charge of the SPS-10 and WASA 1. I left in Dec of '69 for Nuke School.

I am a plank owner of the USS Edward McDonnell DE1043, and was on board until May 1967. W.R. Sheridan was the Captain, and C.F. Love was the Chief Yeoman who I eventually work for. I was discharged as a PN3(Personnel Man Third Class). Does anyone remember me? Please email me! Thanks, Ed Suttles
